POONCH, June 17: Mining Department has seized four vehicles allegedly involved in illegal transportation of minor minerals in Surankote and Jhulass area of Poonch District.
The action was taken on the direction of Deputy Commissioner Poonch Yasin M Choudhary by the Mining Department team led DMO Poonch Javid Iqbal. Three vehicles were seized in Surankote, while one was seized at Jhulass area. The seized vehicles have been handed over to the police for safe custody.
The Mining Department has urged the public to cooperate with the authorities and refrain from engaging in any illegal activities related to mining and transportation of minor minerals.
