4 thieves arrested with stolen items

JAMMU, Oct 7: Vijaypur Police arrested four thieves along with stolen items.
As per police sources, today a written complaint was lodged at Police Station Vijaypur by a complainant namely Narinder Singh, son of Kuldeep Singh of Chak Salarian, at present Ward Number 10 Vijaypur regarding theft of the scraped part of his vehicle (tipper) by some unidentified persons. The tipper after accident was parked by the owner in his plot and the damaged iron scrap was kept in the tipper.
Acting over the complaint, a case FIR Number 155/2022 under section 379 IPC was registered at Police Station Vijaypur and investigation started.
During the course of the investigation, a team from Police Station Vijaypur headed by SHO Inspector Rajeev Kumar and assisted by PSI Vikrant Kotwal under the supervision of SDPO Vijaypur Priyanka Kumari and SSP Samba Dr Abhishek Mahajan after arduous efforts coupled with scrutiny of CCTV cameras footage of nearby areas, developed some lead in the case and succeeded in the arrest of 4 thieves, who were identified as Sawan Majotra, son of Tejinder Majotra of Ward Number 4 Vijaypur, Rahul Majhotra, son of Daljeet Kumar of Ward Number 6 Vijaypur, Romi Massi, son of Bashir Massi of Ward Number 12 Vijaypur and Sandeep Kumar, son of Surinder Kumar of Ward Number 1 Thalori Vijaypur.
On their disclosure, stolen items were recovered in the instant case.
Further investigation into the case is going on.
