Poonch, Jan 13: Continuing it’s drive against drug peddlers, Poonch Police arrested four narcotic smugglers and recovered from them some charas and heroin today.
They were identified as Imran Khan, son of Abdul Rashid from Samote; Sadaqat Ali, son of Mohd Sharief from Chandak in Haveli; Mohd Imtiaz, son of Jamal Din from Ward No. 8 Poonch and Javid Ahmed, son of Abdul Ghani from Surankote.
The police said 30 grams heroin and 50 grams charas was recovered from them. Two vehicles were also seized in this connection. These are Tavera JK02BC 6195 and Alto car JK12C 0858.
The Police team led by SHO Police Station Surankote Rajveer Singh, under the close supervision of DySP Surankote Tanweer Jeelani nabbed them at Dhundak and Daru Shaheed Nakas. Two separate FIRs have been registered against them.
