KISHTWAR, Dec 28: Four residential houses turned into ashes in Chimgam area of Chatroo.
As per police sources, fire broke out in a residential house at Chimgam, Chatroo, which later spread to three other adjoining houses.
After getting information, police team rushed to the spot and with the help of army personnel, locals, fire fighters and fire tenders, the fire was doused, but till then the houses were completely damaged. In the inferno, six families got affected.
No injury or casualty has been reported in the incident, while the exact loss could not be ascertained yet.
Chatroo police has taken cognizance in this regard.
Meanwhile, Deputy Commissioner Angrez Singh Rana send a team led by ADC Kishtwar Kishore Lal Sharma to the spot along with relief material including Rs 5000 cash to each affected family from Red Cross Society funds.
