4 PHCs found locked during night inspection, disciplinary action initiated

RAJOURI, July 11: District Administration Rajouri has initiated disciplinary action against medical staff of four Primary Health Centres (PHC)s after these were found locked during late night inspection of health institutions to check the availability of doctors and other healthcare facilities.
District Development Commissioner Mohammad Aijaz Asad constituted special squads of revenue officers and field staff for carrying out the inspections.
Taking serious note, the DDC has issued orders for with holding salaries of all employees of PHCs which were found locked and directed the Chief Medical Officer to initiate disciplinary action against the staff.
The DDC himself paid surprise visit to District Hospital and inspected Emergency, Gynecology, Surgical, Medical and Pediatric Wards and Sick Newborn Care Unit. He interacted with patients and took feedback of health services being provided to them. He instructed the hospital management to place duty roster conspicuously outside every ward for convenience of the public.
Other health institutions inspected by special squads were SDH Nowshera and Sunderbani, CHC Kalakote, Kandi, Thanamandi and Darhal besides PHC Shahdara Sharif, Lah, Bagla Nadyala,  Budhal, Chatyar, Lamberi, Siot, Teryath, Dalhori, Ghambir Mughlan, Laroka and Moghla. 4 PHCs were found locked which included PHC Shahdara Sharif, Lah, Laroka and Bagla.
