4 Law Officers elevated, 12 new appointed

JAMMU, Feb 1: Government today ordered elevation/re-designation of four Law Officers and appointment of 12 new Law Officers for the Jammu and Srinagar Wings of the High Court.
As per the order issued by Anchal Sethi, Secretary to Government, Department of Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs, Nissar Hussain Shah, Additional Advocate General Srinagar has been elevated as Senior Additional Advocate General while as Amit Gupta, Deputy Advocate General Jammu has been elevated as Additional Advocate General.
Similarly, Karan Deep Singh Kotwal and Sudesh Mangotra, Government Advocates Jammu have been elevated as Deputy Advocate General.
By way of another order, Law Secretary has terminated the appointment of Asif Ahmed Bhat, Additional Advocate General Srinagar made in terms of Government Order No.3983-LD(A) dated July 17, 2018.
Meanwhile, Javed Iqbal has been appointed as Senior Additional Advocate General, Showkat Hussain Naqashbandi as Additional Advocate General, Farah Bashir and Feroz Ahmed Sheikh as Deputy Advocate General and Muzaffar Kirmani, Mohammad Rais-ud-Din Ganai, Bikram Deep Singh and Sajad Ashraf as Government Advocates for the Srinagar Wing of the High Court.
Similarly, Rajesh Thappa has been appointed as Deputy Advocate General and Adarsh Bhagat, Jamrodh Singh and Bhanu Jasrotia as Government Advocates for the Jammu Wing of the High Court.
