SRINAGAR, May 12 : Police in Awantipora today arrested four Over Ground Workers (OGWs) of Jaish-e-Mohammad (JeM) outfit.
A police spokesman identified them as Shabir Ahmad Parray, Sheeraz Ahmad Dar, Shafat Ahmad Mir and Ishfaq Ahmad Shah, residents of Bathen area of Khrew.
He said that they were involved in providing shelter, logistics and other kind of support to the active militants of JeM operating in the areas of Khrew and forest areas of Tral.
He said that incriminating material including explosives and ammunition was recovered on their disclosure in Bathen area of the district.
A case (FIR No. 18/2020) under relevant sections of law has been registered at Police Station Khrew.
The spokesman said that further investigation in the case is in progress.
