JAMMU, May 26: The Appointment Committee of the Cabinet (ACC) has approved the empanelment of four IPS officers of the erstwhile Jammu and Kashmir cadre to the rank of Inspector General (IG) or equivalent posts in the Government of India.

As per an order issued by the Union Ministry of Home Affairs’ Police-I Division, those cleared for empanelment include Vikramjit Singh, Abdul Jabbar, Sarah Rizvi, and Tejinder Singh.
While Vikramjit Singh, the 2004 batch AGMUT cadre IPS officer, is currently serving in Jammu and Kashmir as Commissioner Secretary, Industries and Commerce Department, Tejinder Singh, the 2008 batch AGMUT cadre IPS officer, is presently posted as IGP CID, J&K.
Abdul Jabbar, the 2008 batch AGMUT cadre IPS officer, is currently on deputation to Government of India and Sarah Afzal Ahmed Rizvi, the 2008 batch AGMUT cadre IPS officer, is currently posted as IGP Crime, J&K.
