Srinagar, Jan 6: Police in district Anantnag today said to have arrested 4 suspects in a death case of youth from Srinagar.
In this regard, police said that on Dec 28, 2020 Police Station Pahalgam received information about the death of one Srinagar based youth namely Mubashir Sajad Dar son of Sajad Ahmad Dar of Khanyar.
Upon receipt of the information, police said, an inquest proceeding under section 174 CrPC was initiated in police station Pahalgam.
During proceedings under 174 CrPC and after completing medico-legal formalities and handing over the body of youth to legal heirs, police said, an SIT headed by SDPO Pahalgam was formed by SSP Anantnag, Sandeep Chaudhary.
“Many suspects were rounded up and were questioned these included friends of the deceased who had accompanied him to tourist destination Pahalgam. Technical methods were used to collect evidence which led to some suspects,” police said.
On basis of investigation, a case FIR no 02 /2021u/s 304 IPC 8/21,20,27, NDPS Act was registered in P/S Pahalgam. “Four suspects including the drugs dealer who supplied them heroin have been arrested. They were identified as Usman Ali Baba S/o Ali Mohammad Baba R/o Wanabal Srinagar, Kateeb Ali Buch S/o Nasir Jan Buch R/o Wanabal Srinagar, Oman Aftab Dar S/o Aftab Ahmad Dar R/o Hyderpora Srinagar, ” police said.
Police has also named and identified the drugs dealer as Reyaz Ahmad Dar S/o Mohd Ramzan Dar resident of Hassanpora Tavela Bijbehera.
