SRINAGAR, Oct 16: Police in Ganderbal today said to have arrested 4 persons and seized 4 vehicles involved in the illegal extraction and transportation of minerals in Ganderbal.
Police party from PS Kheerbawani under the supervision of DySP Hqrs Ganderbal and DySp DAR Ganderbal seized four vehicles involved in the extraction and transportation of sand illegally extracted in Ganderbal area.
“Four drivers have also been arrested and shifted to the police station where they remain in custody. They have been identified as Nazir Ahmad Dar, resident of Kondbal, Muzaffar Ahmad Dar, resident of Gangerhama, Fayaz Ahmad Shah, resident of Chek Yangoora and Ishfaq Ahmad Mir, resident of Gulabagh,” police said.
Accordingly, police said, a case vide FIR No. 61/2021 under relevant sections of law stands registered at Police Station Kheerbawani.
