SRINAGAR, Oct 24: Police today arrested four gamblers in Ganderbal and seized stake money from their possession.
Authorities said that while acting on specific information regarding gambling at Rampora in the jurisdiction of Police Station Kheerbhawani, a Police team led by SHO, PS Kheerbhawani raided the specific spot and arrested four gamblers on the spot.
“They have been identified as Fayaz Ahmad Ganie son of Ali Mohd Ganie resident of Rampora, Muzaffar Ahmad Danga son of Bashir Ahmad Danga resident of Patirampora, Kaisar Ahmad Bhat son of Ghulam Mohammad Bhat resident of Saloora & Mehraj-u-din Parray son of Abdul Razaq Parray resident of Ladwina,” police said.
Officers have seized stake money of Rs 4,400/- and Playing Cards from their possession. “They have been shifted to the police station where they remain in custody,” police said.
