JAMMU, Jan 5: Police today arrested four gamblers and recovered Rs 50,650 stake money from their possession.
A police spokesman said that, on specific inputs, police party from City police station conducted a raid at Town Hall and arrested four smugglers.
The gamblers identified as Rajinder Sharma, son of Dheru Mal of Paloura, Rajinder Abrol, son of Krishan Lal Abrol of Pamposh Colony, Karam Vir Singh, son of Krishan Singh of KV Nagar and Ajay Sharma, son of Brij Lal of Rehari Colony were arrested along with Rs 50,650 stake money and playing cards.
A case under Gambling Act has been registered at City Police Station and investigation started.
