SAMBA, Oct 23: Tightening its noose on gamblers and other criminals, district police Samba has arrested four gamblers under the jurisdiction of P/S Ghagwal and recovered stake money of Rs 13,210/- from their possession.
Acting on specific information about gambling, a police party of Police Station, Ghagwal headed by SHO, Inspector, Sudhir Sadhotra under the supervision of Dy.SP Headquarters, Samba, Tilak Raj Bhardwaj raided the gambling spot at Rai Morh, Ghagwal and arrested four gamblers along with stake money of Rs. 13,210/- and playing cards.
The gamblers have been identified as Narinder Singh, S/o Sagar Singh R/o Ghagwal, Jatinder Jasrotia, S/o Darbar Singh R/o Gurah Jattan, Ghagwal, Satish Kumar, S/o Harbans Lal, R/o Gurah Jattan, Ghagwal, Parveen Kumar, S/o Sat Paul R/o Panthal, Hiranagar.
Taking cognizance into the matter, all the gamblers were booked under Section 13 of Gambling Act and case was registered at P/S Ghagwal.
It may be recalled that yesterday P/S Ghagwal has arrested five gamblers from Sangwali, Ghagwal and recovered stake money of Rs 3,175/- from their possession.
