JAMMU, Jan 23: Police today arrested four gamblers with Rs 2,900 stake money from Lower Gadigarh.
As per police sources, on specific inputs, police team from Gadigarh police post conducted a raid in a field at Lower Gadigarh and arrested four gamblers.
The accused have been identified as Kehar Singh and Jeet Kumar, both residents of Gadigarh, Vijay Kumar and Rajesh Kumar, both residents of Miran Sahib. Rs 2,900 stake money and playing cards were recovered from the spot.
A case under Gambling Act has been registered at Gadigarh police post and investigation started.
Police team headed by SI Sandeep Charak made the arrest under the supervision of SHO Satinder Singh, SDPO Zahid Samoon and SP South Rahul Malik.
