SAMBA, Nov 16 : District police Samba has arrested four gamblers in the jurisdiction of Police Station (PS), Bari Brahmana and recovered total money of Rs 52,470 from their possession.
Acting on specific information regarding gambling, police team of PS Bari Brahmana raided the gambling spot in its jurisdictional area near Birpur, Bari Brahmana and arrested four gamblers along with total money of Rs 52,470 with playing cards.
The gamblers have been identified as Raju Ram, S/o Raghu Ram, Gulab Singh S/o Jagdish Singh, Sunil Kumar S/o Jattu Ram and Tarsem Lal, S/o Ram Chand.
All are resident of Birpur, Bari Brahmana. Taking cognizance into the matter, all the gamblers were booked under section 13 of Gambling Act at PS Bari Brahmana.
