4 drug peddlers arrested with heroin, cannabis

JAMMU, Sept 28: Police arrested four drug peddlers along with heroin and cannabis.
On specific information, a team from Nagrota Police Station led by SHO Inspector Mohammad Shoket laid a naka near Sidhra bridge and intercepted two vehicles bearing registration numbers CH04J-0174 and JK02BL-8864.
During checking, police team recovered 280 grams heroin from the possession of three persons traveling in the vehicles and arrested them.
The arrested persons were identified as Shabir Ahmad Bhatt, son of Ghulam Hassan Bhatt of Gojra District Budgam, Vinod Dogra alias Lucky, son of Balbir Kumar of Nanak Nagar, District Jammu and Amritpal Singh, son of Surjit Singh of Sainik Colony District Jammu.
A case under FIR Number 368/2020 under section 8/21/22 NDPS Act has been registered at Police Station Nagrota and investigation started.
Meanwhile, a team from Reasi Police Station led by SI Partap Singh apprehended a person along with 108 grams of cannabis.
The accused has been identified as Rahul Singh, son of Ashwani Singh of Gran Morh District Reasi.
A case under FIR Number 116/2020 under Section 8/20 NDPS has been registered at Police Station Reasi and investigation started.
