UDHAMPUR, Feb 21: In a continued crackdown against drug trafficking, Udhampur Police arrested four drug peddlers in separate incidents.
Police team of PP Sudhmahadev while performing patrolling at Pathyal Morh, Sudhmahadev, apprehended Imran Khan son of Mohd Lateef of Kossar, Tehsil Chenani and recovered 06.20 grams of heroin-like contraband from his possession.
During naka checking at Roun Domail, police intercepted an electric auto (JK14L-5263) coming from Manwal towards Udhampur. During search driver Mohit Sharma of Farna, Sial Jattan, Salmari, was found having possession of 05.45 grams of heroin.
In another case, a Police patrolling party at Patnitop intercepted on Adil Ahmed son of Mohd Sultan Malla of Sheikhsahib, Chinkipora, Baramulla who was carrying 06 grams of heroin.
Another drug peddler was arrested at Majalta near Kali Mata Mandir and 5.14 grams of heroin was recovered from his posession. He was identified as Alam Din, son of Nazir Ahmed of Chak Manga, Samba.
Further investigation of all the cases is underway.
