4-day Samved Yagya & Vedic Satsang Program concludes

JAMMU, Oct 13: Four-day long Samved Yagya and Vedic Satsang Program concluded today at Arya Samaj Temple, Bakshi Nagar, Jammu.
The religious programme started on morning of October 10 with Yagya. A large number people belong to Arya Samaj participated in the Yagya and listened to the ‘Ved Pravachan’ given by Acharya Somdev Ji from Ajmer. The devotees also sang ‘Bhajans’.
Acharya Somdev Ji, while preaching the teachings of Vedas, said that the Vedas talk of universal brotherhood. “There is a need to listen and follow the teaching of Vedas which are universally applicable to all human beings, irrespective of caste, colour and creed,” he said and added that the Vedic knowledge emanates directly from God, who after creating the universe nurses all human being impartially.
In the evening, Gayatri Mahayagya was organized. Satsang programme was also held and sermons were given by the Acharya Dinesh Pathik from Delhi. He also recited various Bhajans in the praise of God.
The programme continued in the same way on October 11 and 12 and concluded today with Purnaahuti of Yagya, which held from 8 AM to 9:30 AM by Dr Vidyadhar Shastri. The 4-day religious programme finally ended at 1 PM with Rishi Ka Langer.
Ravi Kant (president, Arya Samaj Temple, Bakshi Nagar, Jammu), Sanjeev Gupta (vice-president),Yogesh Gupta (general secretary), Narendra Trehan (publicity secretary) and Pawan Gupta (treasurer) also attended the religious function and listened to the sermons of Acharya Somdev Ji.
