4 criminals involved in attempt to murder case arrested

JAMMU, July 4: Four criminals involved in attempt to murder case have been arrested.
As per police sources, on June 27 this year, an information received from the reliable sources at Police Station Gandhi Nagar that some unknown persons with the intention to kill a man namely Rohan Thapa alias Kallu, son of Vishal Thapa of Gorkha Nagar Jammu attacked upon him with sharp edged weapons and caused life threatening injuries to him.
The accused after commission of crime fled away from the spot leaving behind the victim in pool of blood.
On this information, a case under FIR Number 117/2020 under section 307, 341 and 323 IPC and 4/25 Arms Act was registered at Police Station Gandhi Nagar and investigation started.
In order to work out the case, a team of officers and officials of Police Station Gandhi Nagar under the supervision of SDPO City South and SP City South was constituted for solving the case.
The team on the basis of CCTV cameras and other evidences rounded up some criminal elements.
A number of raids were conducted in and outside the district Jammu and after hectic efforts the team successful apprehended the accused involved in the above mention case who during questioning disclosed their names as Surjeet Singh alias Shittu, son of Santokh Singh of Kharian, Miran Sahib Jammu, Sanjeev Kumar alias Sanju, son of Kailash Kumar of Kharian, Miran Sahib Jammu and Ajay Kumar alias Jaggu, son of Ram Lal of Kuttu Chack, RS Pura.
It is pertinent to mention here that accused Surjeet Singh alias Shittu had old enmity with the victim and in order to take revenge they conspire to eliminate the victim. They took the help of one more person namely Manga, son of Gurmez of Valmiki Colony Gandhi Nagar who was also arrested.
On the disclosure of the accused persons, weapon of offence used in the commission of crime was also recovered.
The arrest and recovery has been made by SHO Gandhi Nagar Inspector Gurnam Singh Choudhary with the assistances of SHO Gangyal Inspector Raghubir Singh Choudhary.
