SRINAGAR, July 2: Five prominent Congress leaders including four councilors from Bhaderwah joined Apni Party at party office, Lal Chowk here today.
The new entrants who joined Apni Party included City president, Congress Bhaderwah, Suhail Malik, Councilors Seema Malik, Mohammad Akbar Sheikh, Shabir Hussain Sheikh and Shameem Ahmad Mir. All these new entrants were led by Party’s Provincial vice president Jammu Syed Asgar Ali.
The joining ceremony took place in presence of Party president Syed Mohammad Altaf Bukhari, senior vice president Ghulam Hassan Mir, State secretary Muntazir Mohi-ud-Din, Media advisor Farooq Andrabi and Provincial vice president Jammu Syed Asgar Ali.
Party president, Altaf Bukhari welcomed the new entrants while saying that Apni Party is committed to work for an equitable development of all the regions and sub regions of Jammu and Kashmir and would take all measures to ensure the welfare of people.
“Apni Party’s politics is based on truthfulness and it will always adhere to the principle which demands sincerity and unwavering efforts to ease out the sufferings of people. The welfare of people is our prime concern,” he remarked.
Bukhari expressed hope and belief that the joining five Congressmen from Bhadarwa will surely strengthen the Party cadre at grassroots level in the region. “Today’s joining will give an impetus to the Party activities which are aimed at mitigating the sufferings of the people in the region,” he added.
On the occasion, the new entrants thanked the Party leadership for providing them with a viable political platform and pledged to work diligently for the public welfare in their respective areas besides strengthening the party at grass- root level.
