4 burglars arrested

SRINAGAR, Mar 30: Police arrested a gang of four burglars who had created fear psychosis among the people from past couple of months in Baramulla today.
A Police spokesman said that by arresting the gang, four cases of burglary/thefts of Police Station Uri were solved and stolen property which includes golden Jewellery, Cash, Blankets and Copper utensils were recovered.
He said the receivers of this stolen property have also been arrested under section 411 RPC.
“It is pertinent to mention here that all the burglary and theft cases of Uri Sub Division have been worked out and all the stolen  property have been recovered  in all the cases except one case for which efforts are on to nab the culprits and recover  stolen property,” he said
The accused were identified as Ahmad Jan alias Jana (gang leader), a resident of Garkote Uri, Tanveer Ahmad Sofi, a resident of Trikanjan, Ghulam Mohammad Malik, a resident of Garkote Uri and Bilal Ahmad Dar, a resident of Margipora Pattan.
