Excelsior Correspondent UDHAMPUR, Dec 10: Police arrested four bovine smugglers and recovered twenty-two milch animals from their possession in Kud area of the district. Police spokesman said that, on specific inputs, police party from Kud Police Station laid a naka and intercepted two Srinagar bound trucks bearing registration number JK02R-8459 and JK19-0920 and Maruti car bearing registration number JK14B-7777, in which smugglers’ guides were travelling. During checking of trucks, police recovered twenty-two milch animals and arrested four bovine smugglers Abdul Rehman, son of Gulam Mohd of Gangara, Majid Ahmed, son of Mohd Iqbal and Fayaz Ahmed, son of Amin Mohd, both residents of Kheri and Mohd Shafi, son of Sher Mohd of Chankerkot, district Ramban, he informed. A case under FIR number 122/12 under Section 188 RPC, 3 PCA Act has been registered at Police Station Kud and investigation started.
