UDHAMPUR, Feb 9: Udhampur Police today rescued four bovine animals and arrested two persons who were smuggling these animals to Kashmir.
Based on reliable information, a Police party led by SHO Udhampur laid a surprise naka on the National Highway near Jakhani and intercepted a Tata Mobile vehicle bearing registration number JK14AX-6563. During thorough search, four bovine animals were found loaded in the vehicle. The accused driver namely Bhag Ali of R S Pura Jammu and Bhag Din of R S Pura Jammu were arrested on the spot and vehicle also seized. In this regard, a case FIR number No 50/2014U/S 188/RPC 3PCA Act has been s registered at Police Station Udhampur.
