Srinagar, Apr 10: Four persons including a Hurriyat Conference senior leader were booked under Public Safety Act (PSA) in South Kashmir’s Kulgam district today.
Hurriyat (G) senior leader and district president Kulgam Mohammad Ramzan Sheikh son of Mohammad Shaban Sheikh of Rampura Qaimoh, was arrested last month and was booked under the PSA vide order number DMK/14/2019.
Three more persons Javid Ahmad Khan son of Mohd Maqbool Khan of Bogam, Rameez Shah son of Manzoor Ahmad Shah of Souch Kulgam and Gulzar Ganie son of Ali Mohammad Ganie of Arreh Kulgam were also booked under PSA.
Javid was booked under PSA vide order number DMK/15/2019, Rameez vide number DMK/16/2019 and Gulzar vide number DMK/17/2019. The trio were also arrested last month.
A senior official said that all the four persons were involved in anti-national activities and as such were booked under the PSA.
After execution of the PSA by the District Magistrate, all the four persons were shifted to Kot Bhalwal jail in Jammu for lodgment.
