4 booked in cheating case

POONCH, June 28:  The police  booked four persons in a cheating case in district Poonch today.
The action was taken on the complaint/ FIR filed by Assistant Labour Commissioner,  Poonch. The persons booked are -Abdul Rehman, son of Umar Baksh; Abdul Samad, Anwar-ul-Haq, sons of Umar Baksh and Abdul Razak, son of Mohd Hussain, residents of Kanuyian in Poonch.
They prepared  forged documents of  their father,  Abdul Rehman that claiming that their father died while working at a work site during 2014. They applied to Labour Commission for sanction of assistance. On the basis of documents, the department sanctioned Rs 2.05 lakh for the so called deceased’s family but during verification they found that Abdul Rehman was alive.
The Labour Department stopped the payment and filed an FIR against the accused persons. The family had managed death certificate, legal heir certificate and other relevant documents. The police registered a case FIR No. 84/ 2017 against the accused persons  and started investigation. The accused were absconding.
