JAMMU, Jan 2: Jhajjar Kotli, Nagrota and Ramban police rescued 39 bovine animals and arrested four smugglers.
As per police sources, on specific information, a team from Jhajjar Kotli Police Station laid a naka and intercepted a Srinagar bound truck and arrested one person, who has been identified as Parminder Singh, son of Joginder Singh, a resident of Simbal Morh.
In another similar incident, a team from Nagrota Police Station also rescued 14 bovine animals and arrested two persons, who have been identified as Abdul Hamid, son of Abdul Qayoom of District Rajouri and Liaqat Hussain, son of Iqbal Hussain, a resident of District Samba.
Cases under relevant sections have been registered at Jhajjar Kotli and Nagrota Police Stations and investigation started.
Police teams led by SHO Jhajjar Kotli Inspector Sanjeev Gupta and SHO Nagrota Inspector Deepak Pathania made the arrest under the supervision of SDPO Nagrota Mohan Lal Sharma, SP Rural Dushyant Sharma and SSP Jammu Tejinder Singh.
Meanwhile, a team from Ramban Police Station rescued 10 bovine animals from a Srinagar bound truck and arrested one person, who has been as Mohammad Aslam, son of Nazir Ahmed, a resident of District Udhampur.
A case under FIR Number 1/19 under section 188 RPC and 3 PCA Act has been registered at Ramban Police Station and investigation started.
Police team led by SHO Ramban Inspector Vijay Kotwal made the arrest under the supervision of DySP Headquarters Ramban Asgar Malik, Additional SP Ramban Sanjay Parihar and SSP Ramban Anita Sharma.
