KARGIL, Mar 17: A four days ‘Health Check-up Camp’ for police officials was organised by District Police Kargil at DPL today. The camp was attended by 363 police officials from district Kargil.
The medical camp started was inaugurated by Dr. Vinod Kumar, SP Kargil. The medical team which was lead by Dr.Nida Fatima and Dr.Sheikh Muntazir included paramedical staff from District Hospital Kargil and Grasul Clinical Laboratory .
The entire medical team along with staff of DPL Kargil worked tirelessly for three days to make it a success. The aim of the camp was create medical profile of all police officials, early detection of any disease and prompt treatment of the same .
During the camp, the certified medical team conducted various tests for hypertension, blood sugar, Lipid profile test, Kidney function test, Hepatitis B and Complete Blood Count of all the officials who attended the camp. All the persons availed these tests free of cost.
The valedictory ceremony was held today at conference Hall DPL.
Speaking on the occasion, Dr. Vinod Kumar said as a socially cognizant organization, District Police Kargil undertook this initiative in order to raise awareness about health and the importance of regular health check-ups among its officials who perform their duties in difficult circumstances .He added that the remarks regarding the general body health of all the officials along with medical advice were recorded in their profile and necessary follow up shall be taken wherever necessary.
Syed Mujahid-ul-Haq, DySP Hqrs Kargil, Nawang Tsering, DySP DAR Kargil and other officers/officials of the district police were also present on the occasion.
