JAMMU, Dec 9: In connection with 346th Shahidi Diwas (Martyrs’ Day) of Shri Guru Tegh Bahadur, a religious function was organized at Gurdwara Yadgar Sant Thakur Bhai Rocha Singh Ji Gurdwara Singh Sabha at Sector 14, Guru Nanak Nagar, Jammu.
The programme was organized by Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee under the patronage of Shriman Mahant Manjit Singh, Head Priest Dera Nangali Sahib Poonch. A large number of devotees participated in the programme to seek the blessings of Great Guru who sacrificed his life for the sake of humanity and religion.
Hazoori Ragi Jathas of Dharam Veer Singh, Surinder Pal Singh and Ranjeet Singh of Digiana Ashram recited Shabad Keertan. Thirty-seven children led by Jaswinder Kour also participated in the function and threw light on the sacrifices of Shri Guru Tegh Bahadur by way of reciting Keertan and poems.
General secretary, DGPC Jammu, Fateh Singh threw light on the life history and sacrifices of Shri Guru Tegh Bahadur. Besides, Sandeep Singh on behalf of Sikh Team ‘Bold Voice of Sikhism’ also spoke on the occasion. Shriman Mahant Manjit Singh also highlighted the contributions and sacrifices of Shri Guru Tegh Bahadur towards Sikh community and humanity.
The function concluded with serving ‘Guru ka Langar’ to all the devotees.
