32 bovine animals rescued, 3 arrested

JAMMU, May 29: Police rescued 32 bovine animals and arrested three persons.
As per police sources, on specific information, a team from Bari Brahmana Police Station led by SHO Inspector Darshan Singh under the supervision of Additional SP Samban Faisel Qureshi laid a naka near SIDCO chowk and intercepted a Mahindra vehicle bearing registration number JK14D-9629.
During checking, police team rescued 4 bovine animals from the vehicle and arrested the driver, who has been identified as Makhan Din, son of Mohammad Yousaf of Balole Khad, Bari Brahmana.
A case under FIR Number 67/19 under Section 188 RPC and 2/3 PCA Act has been registered at Police Station Bari Brahmana and investigation started.
Meawhile, a team headed by SDPO Border Ravinder Singh SDPO Border alongwith Incharge Police Post Marheen SI Ashwani Incharge laid a naka at Sanjhi Morh intercepted two trucks bearing registration numbers JK02AT-4287 and JK02BP-7383.
During checking, police team rescued 17 bovine animals from the vehicles and seized them, while the smugglers managed to escape from the spot.
A case under FIR Number 100/19 under Section 188 RPC and 3 PCA Act has been registered and further investigation into the case is going on.
In another similar incident, a team from SPP Jameri rescued 6 bovine animals and arrested one person, who has been identified as Nissar Hussian, son of Mohammad Alyas of Pattian Tehsil Arnas district Reasi.
A case under FIR Number 37/19 under Section 188 RPC has been registered at Police Station Arnas and investigation started.
The whole operation was conducted under the supervision of SHO Arna Inspector Soma Ram Langeh, SDPO Arnas, Additional SP Reasi Shiv Kumar Chauhan and SSP Reasi Nisha Nathyal.
A team from Thannamandi Police Station led by SHO Javid Malik laid a naka and rescued 5 bovine animals from the vehicle. Police team also arrested the driver of the vehicle who has been identified as Tahir Rashid, son of Mohammad Rashid, a resident of Nadian, tehsil Darhal, district Rajouri.
A case under FIR Number 90/19 under Section 188 RPC and 3 PCA Act has been registered at Thannamandi Police Station and investigation started.
