SAMBA, Feb 6: Thirty one passengers were injured and 23 of them seriously when a minibus bearing number JK 2 LA 8234 which was on its way from Samba to Mawa border area rolled down at Panjtilla border road tonight.
All the 31 passengers were admitted in District Hospital Samba where from 23 were referred to GMC Jammu for treatment and further examination.
The police said that the driver and conductor of the matador fled after the accident. The Samba police has registered a case in this regard.
It said that the passers by rescued the passengers and informed the police who also shifted them to DH Samba for treatment.
The passengers with minor injuries who have been admitted in DH Samba are undergoing treatment there. There were 31 passengers on board the matador. The majority of the injured were the factory laborers, police, said adding that it has launched a hunt for the driver.
