JAMMU, Aug 6: Chowk Chabutra Police recovered 30 bundles of banned Chinese thread and arrested one person.
As per police sources, on specific information a team from Police Post Chowk Chabutra led by PSI Jyoti Choudhary under the supervision of SHO Pacca Danga Inspector Raghubir Singh and SDPO East Sharad Kalu conducted raid near Post Office Chowk and arrested a person along with 30 bundles of Chinese thread.
The arrested person was identified as Ajay Singh Chib, son of Subash Singh, a resident of Janipur Colony.
The arrest was made in violation of DM order regarding ban on sale of plastic/synthetic threads (manja).
A case under relevant section has been registered at Police Station Pacca Danga and investigation started.
