KATHUA, Dec 23: Rajbagh police seized 30 bovine animals along with a truck but failed to arrest the smugglers.
Reports said that a police naka party intercepted 22 bovine animals being transported to this side from Punjab- Paraharpur side. All the three alleged smugglers managed to escape. The police seized all the animals and started investigation. The police said that accused who escaped have been identified as Roshan Ali, Sher Ali and Somi Gujjar of border area of Marheen.
Another police naka party intercepted a truck No. JK-21A/0944 on National Highway near Rajbagh early today and found 8 bovine animals loaded in it. The driver and his associate managed to escape, the police said. The driver was identified as Makhan Din.
