SAMBA, May 6: Three workers received severe burn injuries after an electric transformer suddenly burst in a unit named Kaushalya, located in the industrial area here, today.
All three were immediately brought to District Hospital Samba (DHS) in injured condition, where after first aid they were referred to Government College & Hospital Jammu for better treatment. The reason for the transformer explosion has not been known yet. As per reports these workers were repairing the transformer and soon it was given the power connection the transformer suddenly burst and hot oil inside the transformer fell on them due to which they received serious burn injuries.
The injured have been identified as 31 year old Karan, son of Jagdish Raj resident of Samba, 59 year old Bharat Bhushan son of Bansi Lal resident of Gandhi Nagar Jammu and 48 year old Kishori Lal, son of Ratan Chand resident of Madhera.
Taking cognizance of the matter, Samba police has registered a case under relevant sections of the law and started investigation.
