3-week EDP concludes, 33 entrepreneurs pass out

JAMMU, July 3: A batch of 33 aspiring entrepreneurs passed out from Jammu and Kashmir Entrepreneurship Development Institute (JKEDI) after completing three-week Entreprene-urship Development Program (EDP), today.
Keeping up with the trend, seven women were among the latest batch of entrepreneurship aspirants set to take enterprise creation as their career option.
The unemployed youth received training under Seed Capital Fund Scheme (SCFS) and Youth Start up Loan Scheme (YSLS) and were exposed to a comprehensive training course Entrepreneurship Development Program to equip them with what they need to start the profitable businesses. The candidates trained have mostly chosen manufacturing and service as their line activity.
The participants who are motivated enough to start their entrepreneurial ventures shared their experiences on the valedictory.
Regional Coordinator, Jammu, Dr Majid Manzoor Khan interacted with the candidates and congratulated them on the completion of the EDP.
Expressing his views, Dr Majid highlighted the scope of entrepreneurship and its contribution in the economic development of the State. He said Jammu and Kashmir needs its own entrepreneurs who would utilize the State resources and lead the J&K towards economic self reliance in the times ahead.
The candidates were trained at the institute’s Jammu campus.
