Srinagar, Mar 21: Under the Sub-National Certification for TB Elimination in the country, 3 valley districts have been awarded Gold medals for recording a substantial decrease in the TB cases.
In this regard, district Anantnag, Pulwama and Kupwara in Kashmir Valley have been awarded the Gold medal even as out of a total of 8 districts awarded with Gold medals across the country, 3 are from Kashmir.
It is to be noted here that last year, district Budgam was awarded the Gold Medal for recording a nearly 80% reduction in the TB cases in the last 5 years.
