KATHUA, Jan 31: Police in Kathua have arrested three notorious criminals and OGWs (Over Ground Workers), who have been involved in various illegal activities for years.
The individuals, identified as Mohammad Rafiq of Ghar Malti, Ravinder Kumar alias Shanu of Dadwara, and Amrik Chand alias Amrku of Dharamkot in Billawar Tehsil, were booked under the Public Safety Act (PSA) 1978, a police official said.

According to him, multiple FIRs were registered against these individuals at Police Station Billawar for their involvement in criminal activities.
To curb their illegal actions and ensure peace in the district, he said, the police prepared dossiers on the accused and forwarded them to the District Magistrate Kathua for detention under PSA.
Following this, the District Magistrate issued detention warrants against the trio, which were executed today, he said.
Accordingly, he said, the accused have been lodged in District Jails at Jammu, Rajouri, and Udhampur to prevent them from continuing their illegal activities.
