Srinagar, May 11: Three members of a family drowned in river Jhelum near Line of Control in Uri this afternoon.
Police said that Hafizullah Badan, son of Raj Wali, 48, his son Nayeem Ahmad, 15, and his cousin Aftab Ahmad Badan, son of Khan Mohammad, 27, of Dacchi drowned in river Jhelum when they were fishing in river.
Police and army launched a massive rescue operation but dead bodies could not be fished out.
