SRINAGAR, Feb 3: Five persons including three lawyers were injured during a scuffle in the premises of District Court of North Kashmir’s Bandipora district today.
A police official said the scuffle broke out between Noor-ud-Din Gujjar and his wife’s counsel, Advocate Jan Muhammad Mir. He said Gujjar and his wife are fighting a matrimonial case against each other and the Gujjar accused Mir of ‘snatching his wife’ from him.
“During the scuffle, three lawyers including Mir and two civilians including Gujjar sustained injuries,” the officer said. He said the Gujjar and another civilian have been hospitalized and are under treatment.
“We have registered two separate cases under FIR number 16/2016 and 17/2016 on the complaints of both parties,” the official added.
