RAMBAN, June 28: Three persons were killed, when the Alto car they were traveling in, skidded-off the road and rolled down in gorge near Panthyal Passi area, falling under the jurisdiction of Ramsoo police station.
The ill-fated vehicle bearing registration number DL34CAF-3334 was on way from Jammu to Srinagar, when the driver lost control over the vehicle and it landed into 500 feet-deep gorge near Panthyal Passi area, resulting into on the spot death of all the three occupants.
After getting information, police team, QRT volunteers and Army personnel rushed to the spot and retrieved the bodies from the gorge and shifted them to PHC Ramsoo, where after conducting autopsy, the bodies were handed over to legal heirs for last rites.
The injured have been identified as Imtiaz Ahmed, son of Habib Ullah, Tariq Ahmed, son of Ghulam Mohammad Sheikh and Sajad Ahmed, son of Abdul Ghani, all residents of Nogam, Verinag.
A case under FIR Number 41/16 under Sections 279, 337 and 304-A RPC has been registered at Ramsoo police station and investigation started.
