3 killed, 6 injured in road accidents

JAMMU, Nov 30: Three persons were killed while 6 others were injured in separate road accidents in different parts of Jammu region.
According to a police spokesperson, one Pawan Kumar (20) son of Puran Chand, a resident of Sirla Kalara was killed on the spot while other Billu son of Tej Ram of Sirla Kalara got serious injuries when their bike collided head on with an auto bearing registration No JK20-6678 at Nau Devian near Katra.
The injured has been shifted to Government Medical College and Hospital (GMCH), Jammu, where his condition is stated to be critical. A case in this regard has been registered at concerned police station and the auto driver namely Laxman, arrested.
In another incident, Sat Pal son of Karan Singh, a resident of Bye Pass Jammu died on the spot when the oil tanker (having registration No JK02AU-3805) he was driving towards Jammu to Srinagar met with an accident at Maroog in Ramban district, early this morning.
Meanwhile, one accident victim being treated at GMCH after he was injured in a road accident that took place late night at Rarian area of Ramgarh, succumbed to his injuries. He was identified as Roop Lal, son of Ghani Chand, a resident of Rarian.
In another accident near Battery Chasma that took place this morning, Mohd Salim (32) son of Mohd Musa, a resident of Peera (Chanderkote), got serious injuries when the Tata Mobile he was driving, rolled down in a 200 feet gorge. He was immediately shifted to District Hospital Ramban, from where in view of his serious condition he was later shifted to GMCH. His condition is also critical.
One Surinder Kumar (75), son of Mohan Lal of Janipur and his wife, Raj Kumari (70) received injuries when the bike they were travelling on was hit by a tractor near Jaggi Darbar (upper Paloura). They have been shifted to GMCH for treatment.
One Dilpreet Singh (24) son of Harnam Singh of Simbal Morh also received serious injuries when the bike he was riding on was hit by a car at Satwari. The profusely bleeding Dilpreet was immediately shifted to GMCH for treatment.
A police constable identified as Liaqat Ali son of Qasim Din of unknown residence also received serious injuries when the bike he was riding on was hit by a car near Malik Market, Narwal, Jammu. He has also been shifted to GMCH for treatment.
In all the cases, the concerned police have taken cognizance of the matter.
