3 killed, 17 injured in different accidents

SRINAGAR, June 23: Three persons died and 17 others were injured in different road accidents across the Kashmir valley today.
Police said a Bus bearing registration number  JK01K- 7360 hit and injured a girl Pathani,12, of Dansar Rajasthan at Sadderbal, Hazratbal near Sir Syed Gate of Kashmir University, Srinagar. The injured succumbed to her injuries while on way to hospital.
In an another accident a Tractor without number met with an accident at Krumhoora, Handwara, in which two boys were injured. Among injured Owais Ahmed Bhat, 7, son of Abdul Majeed resident of Krumhoora succumbed to his injuries at hospital .
A Tata Sumo bearing number JK05/8214  on way from Baramulla to Watergam  hit a Motorcycle bearing number JK05C/2714 at Hadipora National Highway, Sopore, resulting in injuries to Motorcyclist Farooq Ahmed Dar son of Mohammad Ramzan resident of Marazi Gund, Rafiabad.  Later the injured succumbed to his injuries while on way to hospital.
A Truck bearing number WB-39/6871  of 42 battalion of CRPF on way from Udhampur to Pahalgam turned turtle near Hutmoora, Anantnag resulting in injuries to five CRPF personnel.  All the injured were hospitalized.
An Alto Car number JK03A/4628 coming from Aishmuqam to Anantnag hit and injured a pedestrian Ali Mohammad Bhat, 65, son of Abdul Khalid resident of Sangam Kokernag at KP Road Anantnag near GPO. The injured was shifted to hospital for treatment.
A Recovery vehicle of 24 battalion of CRPF number DI-IGB/2477 hit a Tata 407 passenger vehicle No. JK03A/1545 at New Colony Mattan, resulting in injuries to seven passengers, besides, damaged to some shops situated in Municipal building. All the injured were hospitalized.
A Sumo JK09/4286 hit and injured two children Shabnum Ara, 7, and Yasir, 5, of Kupwara at Ganie Mohalla, Kupwara. The injured were hospitalized. Vehicle was seized, while driver fled away from the spot.
A Load Carrier JK09/8516 on way from Batpora to Kralpora turned turtle at Neharie, Kupwara, resulting in injuries to one SPO Mushtaq Ahmad No. 51/SPO posted in police station Kralpora. The injured was shifted to SKIMS Soura, Srinagar for treatment. Police  has taken congnizance in all the cases.
