JAMMU, Sept 16: Three inmates of Juvenile Observatory Home, RS Pura escaped from the home last night
However, RS Pura police arrested all the juveniles within eight hours. A Special Police Officer (SPO) was also arrested for dereliction of duty due to which the juveniles managed to flee from the custody.
As per police sources, an information was received by police station RS Pura late last night from Superintendent, Juvenile Observatory Home, RS Pura, Nisar Hussain that three juveniles escaped from the home after breaking the door and window. All were in the age group of 14 to 17 years.
As per complainant, one of them was involved in case registered under FIR number 101/14 under Sections 353, 307 and 302 RPC with police station Channi Himmat, another in FIR number 159/15 under Section 379 RPC registered with police station Surankote and the third in a case registered under Section 454 and 380 RPC with police station Gangyal.
Acting on the complaint, a case under FIR Number 142/15 under Section 223 and 224 RPC was registered at RS Pura police station and manhunt was launched to nab them.
Special nakas were laid in different parts of RS Pura and finally all the three juveniles were arrested from Daljit Chowk, Kotli Shah Dulla and Kotli Arjun Singh areas within 8 hours.
Meanwhile, SPO namely Roshan has been arrested by the police for dereliction of duties, due to which the juveniles managed to escaped from the home.
Further investigation is going on.
Police team headed by SHO RS Pura police station Inspector Bhushan Manhas made the arrest under the supervision of SDPO RS Pura Harjeet Singh, SP Headquarters Randheer Singh and SSP Jammu Uttam Chand.
