KATHUA, May 31: Three persons were injured in two road accidents in Kathua district today.
According to reports two persons were injured after the car in which they were travelling fell into a 150 feet deep gorge at Sheetal Nagri on Basholi-Bani road. The locals with the help of police rescued them and shifted them to local dispensary for first aid where from they were referred to SDH Basholi but seeing their critical condition the doctors referred them to DH Kathua. As their condition deteriorated the doctors at DH Kathua referred them to GMC Jammu for specialized treatment. The injured were identified as Vinod Kumar and Pritam both residents of Dharamkote. The police have registered a case in this regard.
In another incident a tipper rolled down at Barnoti National Highway resulting into the injuries to its driver who was identified as Kali Dass.
The traffic was disrupted on the Highway for half an hour due to the accident. The police swung into action immediately and cleared the traffic on Highway. The injured driver was shifted to GMC Jammu for treatment where his condition is stated to be serious.
