KATHUA, Dec 9: One person was seriously injured after his scooty was hit by a Maruti car at Dayala Chak near here today.
The injured has been identified as Ram Paul , S/O Hans Raj of Grain Raipur tehsil in Samba district, police said.
He has been first taken to SDH Hiranagar for treatment where from doctors referred him to DH Kathua. However in view of the grievous injuries suffered by him, the doctors referred him to GMC Jammu later from Kathua.
The Hiranagar Police has registered a case under relevant sections of the law. The car fled after the accident. However police has verified its number and it will soon arrest the driver. The police said the car was on its way from Kathua to Jammu.
In another incident a load carrier with chicken rolled down at Chan Arorian on Jammu Pathankot NH today resulting into the injuries to both driver and conductor of the vehicle.
Police said the duo was taken to district Hospital Kathua where their condition is stated to be stable. Kathua Police has registered a case under relevant sections of the law in this regard.
