3 houses gutted in Mandi, one dies

POONCH, Dec 7: Property worth lakhs was destroyed  and one person was killed as three houses were gutted at Sankha, Moori and Nalla villages of Mandi block.
Official sources said that due to forest fire spread for the last two days in the higher reaches of  Loran Mandi, three houses were gutted at Sankha, Nalla and Moori  villages. One Munir Hussain, son of Sain Aklam was also killed in the devastating fire due to suffocation inside.
Today SSP J S Johar, DySP Headquarters Mohan Lal  and some senior officers from the District Administration visited the site  and talked to the locals.   The officers assessed the damaged. A double storey  building has also been damaged in this incident. The Administration  provided immediate assistance to these  hapless families.
