JAMMU, Aug 3: Kanachack police arrested three persons along with large quantity of intoxicants.
As per police sources, during checking at Mishriwala, a team from Kanachack police station intercepted a Wagon-R car bearing temporary number JMU/BF-9457.
On seeing police cops, the driver accelerated the vehicle and tried to escape, but the cops chased and intercepted the vehicle.
During checking, police recovered 2300 intoxicant capsules and 300 tablets and arrested three persons on the spot.
The accused have been identified as Subash Singh (driver), son of Baj Singh of Purkhoo, Rajiv Singh alias Sonu, son of Karam Singh and Surinder Singh, son of Balwant Singh, both residents of Mishriwala.
A case under FIR number 102/16 under 48-A Excise Act has been registered against the accused at Kanachack police station and investigation started.
Police team led by Inspector Rajesh Sharma made the arrest under the supervision of SDPO Domana SK Sharma and SP Rural Arun Gupta.
