3 held for beating ambulance driver

RAJOURI, Mar 3: The police today arrested a truck driver and his two associates for beating up an ambulance driver and disrupting swift movement of a serious patient from CHC Thanamandi to Rajouri District hospital last mid night.
A police spokesman said that ambulance driver from Thannamandi Hospital, Shakeel Ahmed, son of Mohd Bashir, resident of Thanna was shifting a serious delivery patient from CHC Thannamandi to District Hospital Rajouri last night. At around 12.30 am near Saj, a truck was coming from Rajouri side and the road was narrow there. The ambulance driver asked truck driver to give passage and dim the head-lights for making passage for ambulance. Upon this, the truck driver and two others came down from the truck and allegedly beat up the ambulance driver and broken his one arm and also caused him severe injuries. He was rescued by two lady attendants and one Asha Worker moving in the Ambulance.
Today morning an FIR was lodged by the injured ambulance driver, against the driver of the truck No. JK02CF/ 1642 and his two associates. The police party led by SHO (Prob) Ishan Gupta (DySP) arrested all the three accused persons and registered a case FIR No. 36/ 2020 against them.
The accused persons were identified as Shakeel Ahmed and his brother Mohd Irfan, sons of Latief, residents of Jamola and Mohd Arif, son of Abdul Rashid from Kandi.
