3 drug-peddlers nabbed with 19 gms heroin

RAJOURI, June 3: In its continued crackdown against drug trafficking and substance abuse the police has apprehended three drug-peddlers and recovered a total of 19 grams of heroin in two separate incidents.
Both operations were carried out by police teams led by SHO Rajouri Abid Hussain Shah under the supervision of the SSP Rajouri Gaurav Sikarwar. In the first incident, a police team from Police Post City, during routine naka at Tariq Bridge intercepted two persons who were behaving suspiciously. On their search the police recovered 13 grams of heroin from their possession.
The accused have been identified as Abdul Aziz, son of Mohd Sharief, resident of Ward No. 7 Rajouri, and Tanzeel-Ul-Rehman, son of Siaf-Ul-Rehman. resident of Bhangai, Thanamandi. A case under FIR No 288/2025 has been registered at Police Station Rajouri.
In the second incident, another police team led by SHO Rajouri was conducting routine patrolling in the Kheora area when they noticed a person attempting to flee upon spotting the police team. Acting swiftly the alert police team chased and nabbed the individual. On his personal search, 6 grams of heroin was recovered from his possession. The accused was identified as Mohd Danish, son of Mohd Sabir, resident of Chowkian, Darhal.
A case FIR No. 289/2025 has been registered at Police Station Rajouri and investigation is in progress.
