3 drug peddlers held

SRINAGAR, Jan 16: Police arrested three drug peddlers in Safa Kadal area of Srinagar here today.
A police spokesman said police party observed three youths roaming suspiciously near Pamposh Colony in Safa Kadal and they tried to run away, noticing the movement of police.
However, the Police party chased them and during searches, 110 tablets of Stimat (Prachloro Parazine), 90 tablets Alprax (Alprozome) and 26 very small packets of contraband substance which apparently seems to be Brown Sugar (Di-Acetyl Morphine), wrapped in crude paper was recovered from their possession. All the three youth were also under the influence of drugs,” the spokesman said.
They were later identified as Abdul Majeed Ganai, son of Ghulam Qadir Ganai of Pampoosh Colony, Safakadal, Muhammad Rafiq Kaloo son of Abdul Rehman Kaloo of Rakh Colony, Safa Kadal and Shabir Ahmad Dar, son of Ali Muhammad Dar of Nasrullah Pora, Budgam.
The spokesman said a case FIR No. 06/2014 under section 21 NDPS has been registered against them.
