RAJOURI, Jan 11: The police arrested three drug peddlers and recovered 72 capsules of toxic nature and some charas from their possession last night.
Reports said that police party from Rajouri during naka at Gujjar Mandi Chowk in Rajouri intercepted the accused persons last night and recovered drugs from their possession. They were identified as Mofeed Ahmed, son of Mohd Shafi from Ward No. 7 Rajouri; Tariq Ahmed, son of Abdul Rehman from Ward No. 8 Rajouri and Sukhvinder Singh, son of Balwan Singh, resident of Ward No. 4, Rajouri. The police recovered six leaf-rolls (Chhalian) filled with Charas and 72 capsules from them. A case FIR No. 8/ 2017 was registered against them.
Meanwhile, Rajouri police also recovered a kidnapped minor girl hailing from Saaj area in Thannamandi from the Rajouri town today. She had been allegedly kidnapped by one Ashaq Mehmood from Palma. The police was looking for the youth who escaped during raid.
